How to Opt Not to Save Outgoing Messages

  1. Choose File > Tools > User Preferences. (You’ll then see a box with a number of options.)
  2. Click on “Mail.”
  3. Select "Always Prompt" for your "Save Sent Mail" option. This will give you the option to save or not save messages.
  4. Click “OK” when you are finished.
